KOSTENKO Anatoli Alexandrovitch KOSTENKO
Born in 1920 at Kherson, Ukrain.
Kostenko was a famous painter of the South School.
Being a great colorist, Kostenko also was a master in landscapes and still lifes.
Kostenko graduated from the Fine Arts Institute of Kharkov (where he was in the years 1946-1950).
Kostenko's landscapes are painted in the post-impressionnist way, and are easily recognizable. All his art drawing is linked to Dniepropetrovsk and he showed through his work many landscapes of this area.
From 1960 on, Anatoli Kostenko took part in local and national exhibitions. He was a Member of the Ukrain Painters Union.
Artworks by Kostenko are shown at the city museum of Dniepropetrovsk and at the state museum in Kherson.
