Hedwig BURKHARDT painted portraits, still life or flowers.

Both painter and woman, Hedwig BURKHARDT was a Swiss Lady born in 1863.

She first worked in Zurich and Münich, before leaving to Paris, where she could use advice from Tony Robert-Fleury, Benjamin Constant, J.P. Laurens or Jules Lefebvre.

Back in Switzerland, BURKHARDT became a teacher at a Young Ladies' school in Zürich.

 

 

Hedwig Burkhardt also exhibited one of her artworks at the French Artists' Salon in 1893, a still life with lilac.
