Nikolai Konstantinovich KALMAKOV

1873 — 1955

Nikolai Konstantinovich Kalmakov was born in Italy in 1873. Studied law at St. Petersburg University. Active in St. Petersburg until October revolution of 1917. Moved to Constantinople and European capitals in early 1920s. Settled in Paris in 1926. Exhibited with Union of Russian Artists in 1908; World of Art in 1911-1916; Important shows include Treugolnik, St. Petersburg, 1909. Also a theatre artist, graphic artist. Died in France in 1955.
