Vladimir Dimitrievich SVERCHKOV

1820-1888

Vladimir Sverchkov studied at the Imperial Academy between 1849 and 1855. He lived much of his life abroad, and became known for his still-lives and also for his paintings on glass. He painted the glass windows in the Armoury Palace in the Kremlin, and in one of the rooms of the Imperial Academy in St. Petersburg.
