MEDVEDEV Vladimir Petrovitch MEDVEDEV

Born in 1940

Medvedev is born in 1940 in the Altaï region, Medvedev went with his mother in 1946 to Tchikment, in Kazahstan after Medvedev's father's death. There, Vladimir took part in drawing lessons and finally went to the Art School of Tachlent in 1961.

In 1966, off Medvedev went to Bukhara, a town full of history, as well and beautiful and picturesque architecturaly speaking.

At that time, Vladimir Medvedev got orders for politic posters for propaganda.  He then began to get interested in revolution matters and October Revolution. 

Reading Dostoevskii books, Medvedev began to draw these events in his own paintings and he painted then the painting "Russia hidden in darkness". This is the artist's vision on the what was happening in Russia.

 

Vladimir Medvedev also travelled: he saw Western Europe as well as the USA.
