‘My interest is in the landscape, inspired originally from the rural landscapes of Derbyshire and Ireland, the two places where I spent my childhood, and subsequently the landscapes from my travels and living by the river. I focus on the emotive impact of light, especially early morning or last light, on the land and an attempt to capture the exquisitely elusive, vaporous, sublime and ephemeral luminosity of it’.
