Carrie Lees trained as a fine art photographer at St Martins and specialised in traditional printing techniques at The Natasha Bult School of photography. Her landscape and travel work were included in group exhibitions at The Thackeray Gallery and published in various Condé Nast publications. A number of which are in private collections. Having subsequently worked as a portrait photographer for many years, she has recently diverted from portraiture to revisit traditional printing techniques and is drawn to the simplicity and fragility of the botanical world. She aims to produce work which portray simple but structural images as seen in this series of cyanotypes. Carrie is also a very talented painter, and has studied at The London Fine Art School on Lavender Hill, and with the tutor Robin Childs. This Fine Art training adds so much to her work as a printmaker.
